Expel is out with its new forward-looking report, "Great eXpeltations," and among the topics covered is supply chain targeting. Jon Hencinski of Expel and Bruce Potter of Clear Street share insights on why organizations must pay attention to these attacks.

Hencinski is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Expel's security operations center and detection and response engineering. He oversees how Expel recruits, trains and develops security analysts. Hencinski has over a decade of experience in the areas of SOC operations, threat detection and incident response. Prior to Expel, he worked at Mandiant and BAE Systems and was an adjunct professor at The George Washington University.

Potter is responsible for cyber and privacy risk management and ensuring the secure operations of Clear Street’s services. Previously, he was the CISO for Expel. Prior to that, he co-founded Ponte Technologies. In 2016, Potter was the senior technical adviser to President Obama's Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity. He founded the Shmoo Group in 1996 and helps run the popular annual hacker conference ShmooCon in Washington, D.C. He has co-authored several books and speaks at industry conferences, including DEF CON, Black Hat and O’Reilly Security, and at private events hosted by the U.S. Military Academy, the Library of Congress, the National Security Agency and other government agencies.
