David Houlding is the Director of Healthcare Privacy and Security at Intel Health and Life Sciences (HLS) where he leads Intel HLS blockchain initiatives worldwide. Houlding also leads the Intel Healthcare Security Readiness Program, a worldwide open industry collaboration with over 150 HLS organizations participating across 9 countries, and over 40 partners working to scale the program globally. His responsibilities include privacy and security leadership for the HLS industry globally. In this role David leads healthcare security and privacy research through to defining strategy, roadmaps, reference architectures, solution incubation, prototypes, pilots, and sales and marketing field support for the HLS sector. This involves extensive engagement with key HLS organizations and industry partners, providing guidance on best practices to manage risk and how technologies can help in a holistic approach, and catalyzing new opportunities for Intel and partners to add value in the HLS sector. His previous roles at Intel include serving as a Senior Privacy and Security Researcher at Intel Labs and as the Chief Architect of Perot Systems Healthcare Payer Systems.
